The Chargers are set to release Takeo Spikes today. Now this might just be nostalgia speaking on my part, but I'd love to see Spikes return to the Bills if for no other reason than to spend 1 or 2 last seasons in a Bills uniform before he retires.
But I'd love to see him back here for more than that. Yes he is aging and slowing down a bit, but he still holds great value, especially for a defense in transition like ours. I think that he could be a great mentor for both Sheppard and Bradham, as he has played both of their roles before and has been a average to good 3-4 ILB over the last 6 seasons.
He obviously wouldn't be a starter anymore, but used in rotation with Sheppard, Bradham and even Scott, he could be very efficient.
And all of that is not even mentioning the immense amount of leadership that the NFL's most tenured linebacker would bring to this Bills D.
So what do you think folks, should the Bills pursue TKO?
Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
