This started out as a conversation on Brian's draft thread. My thought was to have a succession of polls to assemble Rumblings' top 10 prospects. When Brian chooses (8th) a minimum of 2 of those players would be left with possibly closer to 5 depending on what the teams ahead of Buffalo do. So, without regard to the Bills or any other team in terms of need, I'm adding a poll with the consensus top 20 guys. We'll vote for the highest rated guy in this poll. Then I'll put up another post with the 19 remaining guys--and we'll vote on the 2nd highest rated guy and so on. This won't lock Brian into a pick but will give him the sense of how the Rumblers believe the talent on the board should fall. Because we could see a run on QBs early in the draft - even though many draftniks don't think any QBs merit a top 15 pick - I will include several QBs in the mix.
I averaged the results for 3 websites. The top 18 guys were (in no particular order, though lumped by position)
OT Luke Joeckel, OT Eric Fisher, OT Lane Johnson, OG Chance Warmack, OG Jonathan Cooper, DE/OLB Dion jordan, DE/OLB Barkevious Mingo, DE/OLB Ezekiel Ansah, DE Bjoern Werner, OLB Jarvis Jones, DT Sharrif Floyd, DT Sheldon Richardson, DT Star Lotuleli, CB Dee Milliner, CB Xavier Rhodes, WR Cordarrelle Patterson, WR Keenan Allen, QB Geno Smith
QB Matt Barkley and QB Tyler Wilson did not make the top 20 but are in the mix due to the QB overvaluing that tends to happen on draft day. S Kenny Vaccaro, CB Desmond Trufant, WR Travon Austin, OT DJ Fluker, ILB Alex Ogletree, DE Damontre Moore and TE Tyler Eifert didn't average in the top 18 so they missed the cut.
Vote for the guy who you think is the absolute top talent in the draft in the poll below.
