In the forthcoming draft, there are 3 British players who could be extremely useful and therefore interesting to the Bills
Menelik Watson, OL, Florida St, 6ft6, 320lbs
With the departure of Levitre, there is a vacancy at LG. Despite only one years experience, the Manchester born lineman is getting a lot of press as his basketball background means he is very light on his feet for such a large man. He is very intelligent and film room student, but also very physical and able to blast holes for the ground game. A RT for the Seminoles, it is thought he might initially be a guard before moving outside and alongside Cordy would lock down the left side of the line. At No41 he'd be a steal, and depending whether we trade down and acquire extra picks, might even be worth moving up for
Tom Wort, ILB, Oklahoma, 6ft0, 237lbs
Considered a potential 1st rounder in 2014 starting the season, he is now a 3rd day selection if he is lucky. The bioy from Guildford, did very well as a freshman and as a sophmore alongside the Smith's but was slowed by niggling injuries. As a ILB he averages 4 sacks a season which fits Pettine's ILB mold for the 3-4 alignment blitzing up the midddle. He is also advanced when dropping deep in the middle during zone coverage. He could easily supplant Sheppard or be an asset alongside him
Lawrence Okoye, DE/DT, no college, 6ft6, 304lbs (though has been as light as 284lbs
The 21 year old British discus thrower has never played at any level but became the British record holder in a technical event in less than two years. He has a background in Rugby Union which of course has a common history with Football (until the late 19th century) he is also highly intelligent with an deferred placed at the world renowned Oxford University School of Law. What will impress though is his performance at the NFL Super Regional Combine - a time of 4.78, a vertical of 35", a broad jump of 10'5" ... which border on the ridiculous for someone his size. A major project yes, but with a colossal possible return
The question is, worthy or wasted selections?
