With the apparently weak draft class of QBs this year, I hear some folks say we should draft according to need this year, maybe take a project QB in round 2 or even later, and look for the franchise QB in 2014. Hard to argue against the fact we have a lot of holes to fill.
But who's the 2014 QB who will smite our enemies? Assuming we go 6-10 again, and get say the 9th or 10th pick in 2014, who's the stud QB who's going to be available to come in and save the day? I know it's been said ad nauseam, but if the-powers-that-be see a franchise QB in this crop of QBs, then I say take him at 8. If they truly feel this QB class is too sorry to pick anyone at 8, then yes, take another position at 8 and hope a good QB falls to 41. Or trade back. Or whatever.
I just want to know who is worth waiting for in 2014 and will be available when the not-bad-enough-for-#1-Bills pick. If the waiting is the hardest part, then don't wait, but seize the day and take the QB now.
