No, this isn't going to be a Draft-Eve poem; I'm not that creative.
I'm not sure how you've been feeling about the next few days up to this point, but everyday I change my mind with who I think the Bills will take, and who I want the Bills to take. This evening, I believe that I have hit the jackpot - they match!
First, Buffalo has get the trade with St. Louis going. I don't believe that both of the Rams' first rounders are in play for trade, but picks 16 and 46 have about the same value, per THE chart, as 8. So that would give Buffalo picks 16, 41, and 46. This would be a great start to the draft.
Next, it's time to take some more calls. "Hello? Vikings? What y'all want?" They want pick 16 and want to give up 25 and 52. Done. Now, Buffalo has picks 25, 41, 46, 52. That, my friends, is how you do business. But who to pick?
First, with 25, give me EJ Manuel. The athleticism is just too much to pass up at 25. I also think this is the second QB off the board, with Geno going much earlier, possibly to the Jets. With 41, the Bills go Robert Woods. At 41, not only will he be the BPA, but he will fill a need. Pick 46 should be Barrett Jones. The kid is a leader, not afraid to get into it with his QB during the championship game right in the middle of the field, and can play each position on the line. With a bit of a hole at LG and Eric Wood coming into a contract year, Jones will be very important for the Bills down the road. And finally, with pick 52, Kevin Minter from LSU.
I don't play Madden, I may have had a few alcoholic beverages, but this draft should make us all happy. I know that people are set on their QB, be it Nassib, Barkley, Smith, Jones, Bray, etc, so they may not love this. I'll wake up tomorrow and think this is horrible and I'll have another crazy idea. Why shouldn't I think that Buddy Nix would make trades like this? He did move up 2 spots in the third last year for a receiver. The next step from that is obviously NASDAQ type trading.
