Now that the Bills have signed Kolb for 2 years and everyone in America is pretty much in agreement that the QB class is soft this year, do you think the Bills should stock other positions and then go all in on a QB in 2014? It seems that there are no top tier QBs this year so why not load up on some young weapons in 2013 and then go after either Bridgewater, Manziel or Boyd in 2014. Here are my thoughts on a possible mock draft this year to stock up on some young talent for a top tier rookie QB to come in and take over in 2014. Let me know if you would choose this option or if you would go ahead and take a QB this year anyway.
First, I would trade the #8 pick to MIN for picks #23, #52, #102 and a 2014 3rd Rounder
Here is my mock after making that trade
Pick #23 DeAndre Hopkins - WR Clemson
Pick #41 Quinton Patton - WR Lousiana Tech
Pick #52 Zach Ertz - TE Stanford
Pick #71 Larry Worford - G Kentucky
Pick #102 Kiko Alonso - ILB Oregon
Pick #105 B W Webb - CB William & Mary
Pick #143 - Jelani Jenkins - OLB Florida
Pick #177 Earl Wolff - SS NC State
The first three picks would instantly give the 2014 rookie QB great weapons to come into the league with and then you include Spiller and Johnson on top of that. After drafting this year to completely fill holes because you have bought another year with Kolb, now you can do whatever it takes even if it is necessary to give a 2015 1st rounder to move up to take one of those top 3 QBs in the 2014 class.
Let me know what you think... Would you fill necessary holes and add weapons in 2013 to then go and get that top tier FRANCHISE QB in the 2014 class that would already have weapons when coming into the league?
