2013 NFL Draft: Jarvis Jones visiting Buffalo Bills, per report

Kevin Liles-US PRESSWIRE

The controversial Georgia pass rusher is in Orchard Park today (Friday), according to Florio.

On Thursday morning, we relayed a NFL.com report claiming that Oklahoma quarterback Landry Jones would be making a pre-draft visit with the Buffalo Bills on Friday. If Jones is indeed at One Bills Drive - we'll likely know for sure later today - then Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that he's joined by Georgia pass rusher Jarvis Jones.

Jones is perhaps the most-discussed (non-quarterback, at least) and most controversial prospect in the 2013 NFL Draft class. A highly productive player in two years at Georgia - he recorded 155 tackles, 44 tackles for loss and 28 sacks in 26 career games with the Bulldogs - Jones' stock has slipped in the public eye of late thanks to a poor showing at his pro day (4.92 seconds in the 40-yard dash) and lingering questions about a spinal stenosis diagnosis that ended his career at USC.

The health concerns and the poor pro day have left some to question where Jones, once considered a potential Top 5 pick, might land. Two respected minds employed by NFL.com highlight the extremes of the divide; former league scout Daniel Jeremiah has said that he still considers Jones one of the ten best players available this year, while the venerable Gil Brandt has removed Jones from first-round consideration entirely.

The Bills are apparently lining up visits with more than just one pass rusher, as Oregon's Dion Jordan is also scheduled to swing through Orchard Park at an undisclosed date.
