Until the franchise tender is signed or a long-term deal is inked, Bills fans will continue to grumble about Byrd not participating in OTAs. While I maintain that this is not a big deal, this topic seems to invade every comment section on this site. I, for one, wish the Bills would operate like the Pittsburgh Penguins. They were eliminated before reaching the Stanley Cup and they had 2 big questions to answer in the off-season. Before it became any sort of distraction, they quickly signed Malkin to a long term deal and re-signed their head coach.
Byrd, like Malkin is a game-changer and a player that doesn't come around often. His agent is smart and calculated. I'd probably pay him just about whatever he is asking.
So, what do you think is a fair contract for Byrd? Let's take a poll and thanks for commenting below!
