Bills Camp: Day 2 Practice Notes - WGR 550

"It is important to note that a lot will change once the pads do go on and the players can start to play with the physicality inherent to the game of football. With that said, here are some of the standouts from Monday afternoon's practice."

Practice Notes, July 29th -

"Kevin (Kolb) is seeing more of the exotic stuff from our defense," said Marrone. "We brought in EJ (Manuel) and gave him a little more reps, but we’re careful with what we’re showing him. EJ is in a pretty decent position. We throw Kevin out there and Kevin’s going in there and seeing everything for the first time. And EJ is able to sit back there and look at it."

Marrone: Mario's foot being evaluated off campus -
"I tend to get a little nervous with what I’m allowed to say," said Marrone. "His foot was sore. We’re not going to make any mistakes about it. We’re going to make sure that everything is fine and our doctors are evaluating him. Where he is and where he goes I’m not going to talk about that."

Inside The Bills | Kolb has high praise for Robert Woods
"Stud. I mean, legitimately a stud," said Kolb. "I’ve bragged on him a lot in the last two days and really through camp. I mean, what I see from him, I’ve been with some really good rookie receivers. I mean some really good ones."

Doug Legursky adds veteran know-how | Democrat and Chronicle
"You’re together on the field, in the weight room, you’re in meetings," Legursky said. "Throw a hundred pounds of Buffalo wings in there and we’ll get to know each other in a hurry."

Brandon: Long term deal still the goal with Jairus Byrd -
"I can't wait for Jairus to get in here. Obviously he's a great player and a guy we have a lot of respect for," said Brandon. "Once he's here and we get through this year we want to try to continue the discussions and negotiations with (his agent) Eugene (Parker) and get him locked in long term." What a shocking thing for him to say.
