This was originally published on Rotoworld.com Thursday night. "Appearing on Thursday Night Countdown, ESPN's Chris Mortensen reported the Bills have had "dialogue" with other teams about trading FS Jairus Byrd. Mort didn't suggest a deal was likely to happen, but did say the door will remain open until the trade deadline. He added that it would have to be a "player-for-player" swap since teams don't trade first- or second-round picks for safeties, even ones as good as Byrd. Byrd wouldn't be able to sign a long-term deal with any team until next offseason, in the event he does get traded."
