I just watch Thurman Thomas's segment on First Take and I left it with a little bit of optimism about Week 1 and the whole season.
I feel as their has been a huge culture change around OBD and you can tell with all the coaches and players especially after the first two preseasons games. HCDM has seemed to try and light a fire in the locker room and start having the player expecting to win instead of just hoping. This has been lacking with the coaching staffs of the past. All of them seem to have no emotion.
As far a week 1 goes I hope to god that EJ is in the starting line up instead of Tuel. But I believe if we want a chance at this game we need to put that own our front 7. Brady and the Pats have not seemed to fair well against very physical teams that are ready to go out and punch them in the mouth. If this front 7 comes to play by stopping the run and getting to Brady we have a good chance to be in this game.
Also I can not think of a bigger game to start the season off and get the crowd going then facing the long time AFC East Champs at home. All these players want to prove that this team is something to watch out for this is where you start. If they even want to be considered for the division winner or playoffs you have have to beat the good teams at home. If we can get an early lead the Ralph will be rocking.
I might be a little optimist but if we can come out and play like a men on fire we have a good shot at winning no matter what it says on paper.
