Yesterday was one of the ugliest games I have seen. With that being said, we shouldn't bury the Bills just yet. There was enough blame to go around. It's not all EJ's fault when your receivers are not separating and you are being harassed on almost every play. The offensive line was a sieve, the defense lacked pressure and the the DB's were being torched.
However, the Bills have twelve players out, 3 starting DB's, both starting defensive ends, our best running back, 2 offensive linemen, and our fastest wideout. You can't win in this league with 9 starters out. Nobody has that kind of backup talent. It also should be obvious that they were going up against arguably one of the best defensive lines in all of football. The Jets inside pass rush is devestating and they will give everybody fits! EJ is young but he will recover. I also believe the wideouts will play much better,. Yesterday, in my opinion, was a little bit of an aberration. The offense was harassed all day and, unfortunately, Rodgers doesn't have the speed to cover fast wideouts. We gave a poor effort, but it is only the third game! Yes, we need to get some players back and we have to do something about Rodgers. Either help him out with a safety or get somebody else. I believe we have enough talent, when healthy, to put up a much better fight. Almost everybody says there will be bumps in the road. This is one of them. If you look around the league there are some excellent teams with more talent than we have that are getting their butt kicked. It's early yet and despite all the problems we were in all three games. This isn't blame on one player or one coach. There are a lot of things that can be fixed when this team is healthy. It is most unfortunate that many fans are ready to hang the coaches. You forget that they kept the team in the game when they were decimated on both sides of the ball. I personally, will not bury them just yet. These are really good coaches that are under duress do to a plethora of injuries. Things will get better as we adjust to the injuries and get players back.
