I have a question?
With all this talk about picking up a big, versatile, hybrid style TE, as how the Chandler/Smith are not that prototype; why is Gragg's name forgotten? I know his season was not the most stat heavy or memorable, but he is exactly that type of player. I like his size and does appear to have the speed and hands to be a nice mismatch for defenses. Before we waste a 1st round pick on a TE, let them get an immediate impact type of LB and see what Gragg can develop into. I have seen him at Arkansas and he Antonio Gates-esque. Maybe we do have the TE needed, he just needs time to grow and play.
FYI: when Butch Rolle was drafted, he was picked up in the seventh round and took a year or two to fully develop. And we all know how he turned into a TD machine. However, the Bills did have Metzelaars to compliment Rolle. So, maybe a Chandler/Gragg combo will be exciting tandem.
What you think?
