Well folks, time for me to step up to the plate (or line of scrimmage?) and throw out my mock draft for our Bills.
Here we go:
C.J. MOSLEY, ILB ALABAMA
Not gifted with particular size, but he stuffs the run very well, which Buffalo has completely lacked for much of this season. Fairly no-name running backs have had tremendous success against us, and it needs to stop, dammit! This kid is already drawing comparisons to Ray Lewis! I know we need to plug up the OL but again, the run defense has been brutally bad. And another player with a "J" as an initial in their name!
CYRIL RICHARDSON, G/OT BAYLOR
Massive, powerful and dominant; should fill in Levitre's old spot or maybe is talented enough to slide over and take over Pears' spot.
JACK MEWHORT, OL OHIO STATE
ABSOLUTELY MASSIVE kid that has had some injury problems but would be another great step to solidifying the line in the hole Richardson doesn't fill.
AARON DONALD, DL PITT
Very disruptive lineman. Meatball is getting a bit older and a young, talented kid like AD might spell him well in the future.
KEITH MCGILL, CB UTAH
Maybe Leodis had a fluke year..? Maybe Stephon isn't the same since the injury..? Just in case, this tall corner might be good insurance.
L'DAMIAN WASHINTON, WR MIZZOU
Tall, speedy kid with big play ability. Might be good where Da'Rick Rogers was not.
COLT LYERLA, TE OREGON
Some bone-headed mistakes in college will drop him far in the draft.. but he's very talented and will be able to make plays in the NFL. Would like to give him a shot.
We will hopefully be able to find another run-stopper through FA, give Byrd another franchise tender and get another punter through undrafted players or FA, in case Moorman is still a shell of his former self (possibly).
I am aware that a number of these players might be returning to school, or that they might not fall that far/rise that high. Sorry, I don't do too many mocks. But I think this one would be pretty decent.
What do you think, fellow BR'ers?
