The Cush BROP

first off while I am sitting in my awesome GM chair at my sweet GM desk I send off an assistant to bring me Beef on Weck and some Andersons custard

now that the craving is cured i get to work on the 2014 Bills roster

using http://overthecap.com/calculator/?Team=Bills Buffalo is calculated to have 22.6 mill in cap space

CUTS

QB Kevin Kolb sorry dude you're no good to us injured and i hope you realize your health is more important than a game retire dude please.

NFL Draft

Using this Mock to compile who would be left for us at 9

Sammy Watkins and Mike Evans are still here and someone like Cleveland looking for someone to pair with Josh Gordon Buffalo trades pick 9 (1350) to Cleveland for picks 26 35 83 (1425)

that gives Buffalo picks 26 35 41 73 83 105 137 169 201

With Pick 26 Buffalo selects

Troy Niklas TE Notre Dame 6'6½ 270 pounds

Niklas is a balanced Tight End he can block good enough and is athletic enough to line up in multiple spots he is a big body redzone threat

Pick 35 Buffalo selects

Kyle Van Noy OLB BYU 6'3 236

Intelligent plays heads up rarely hesitates good anticipation solid wrap tackler

Pick 41 Buffalo selects

Gabe Jackson G Mississippi State 6'3 340 pounds

Jackson uses solid technique has good lateral quickness has the ability to pull and get out front

Pick 73 Buffalo selects

JaWuan James OT Tennessee 6'6 318 pounds

James has 35 inch arms that help steer would be tacklers away from the ball carrier better pass protector than run blocker

Pick 83 Buffalo selects

Billy Turner OT 6'5 315 North Dakota State

A bit of a project Turner has the size and strength you want in a swing tackle very raw in the footwork

Pick 105 Buffalo selects

Trai Turner OG LSU 6'3 310

A road grading Guard keeps defenders at bay powerful upper body and plays with a mean streak

Pick 137 Buffalo selects

Andrew Jackson ILB WKY 6'1 265

Great downhill run stopper powerful in many aspects very strong can shed blockers quick feet

Pick 169 Buffalo selects

Aaron Colvin CB Oklahoma 6'0 192

Colvin tore his ACL during a Senior Bowl practice wont be ready till training camp very good man coverage corner can recover quickly hardly gets burned deep anticipates the underneath routes and closes fast on receivers

Pick 201 Buffalo selects

Shaquil Barrett OLB Colorado State 6'2 250

Strong at the point of attack still raw and a project needs a few seasons to see solid playing time

Summary

Resignings

I resigned our inhouse talent I made Byrd the highest paid safety in the league 8.75 APY

Resigned Carrington to be our starting RE again

Resigned Chandler to a modest deal giving Buffalo two tall pass catching TEs

Moats is back as quality depth and Special Teams

Tendered Frank Summers

Buffalo ran the ball 528 times last year our two weakest spots on the line were LG and RT if we are to continue running the ball 33 times a game we needed to solidify those positions via the draft and Free Agency

My Free Agent signings are nothing spectacular no Jimmy Graham no Alex Mack

they are team friendly deals each signing will have a chance to compete and contribute on this team

Griffen has a chance to step out of Jared Allens shadow here in Buffalo

Britt has a chance to repair his image with hard work and production

Wharton is 33 years old on the down slope of his NFL career will be a good stop gap guard till Jackson gets going

I don't call this draft sexy by any means its a meat and potatoes draft that filled every weakness we had going into the draft and i know I will get blasted some trading out of the 9 spot with both of the top receivers on the board still there but it is okay I choose to go for quality starters and quality depth over the superstar and less depth the roster improved overall not just in a few areas

Buffalo ends up with three extra picks and spent about the same amount in cap on them

Buffalo starts the season with 5 million in cap space
