Buffalo Bills promote Jason Rebrovich to assistant defensive line coach

Doug Marrone is still tinkering with his new-look coaching staff, promoting a quality control coach on Friday. That leaves the Bills without a quality control coach on defense.

Buffalo Bills head coach Doug Marrone is still tinkering with his coaching staff. On Friday, the team announced that defensive quality control coach Jason Rebrovich has been promoted, and is now the assistant defensive line coach.

Rebrovich, a Western New York native (Clarence), will assist new defensive line coach Pepper Johnson as the Bills transition to a new defensive scheme installed by coordinator Jim Schwartz.

Coupled with the departure of Brian Fleury, who joined Mike Pettine with the Cleveland Browns as an assistant linebackers coach, the Bills now have no coaches with the title of defensive quality control, when they had two such coaches in 2013. They also still have two quality control coaches on offense (Kurt Anderson and Jason Vrable), so it seems much more likely than not that the Bills will be making another hire or two before their coaching staff is settled.

This is what Buffalo's coaching staff looks like today. Coaches brought in since the close of the 2013 regular season are highlighted in bold.
