In my nightmare, 3 of the 5 teams ahead of us "that NEED to draft a QB in the first round" somehow pass on Manziel.
Running through the top 6 picks, I can't see Clowney, Robinson, Matthews, Mack, Bortles or Bridgewater (even after his less than stellar pro day) making it to us at #9.
Which brings me to confession time: I don't think EJ is our "franchise" man. As much of a high character, all the measurable qualities that EJ has, he just does not pass my own eye test for having that "it" factor -- and I'm not even factoring in the knee problems that he had. Manziel has that it factor in spades.
I guess my question is this: If Manziel somehow falls all the way to us (and of the Top 3, he is the one who possibly could), do you trade back and if so, who do you think your trade partner is -- Tennesee at 11 and what do you really gain by only moving back two slots so they can draft him?
The idea of Johnny Football still being there for us to pick has now worked its way into my brain and I'm not sure if I like it or hate it. Feel free to tell me to "Wake UP! That scenario is just NOT going to happen this year" and if it does, do you draft him? Right now, I think I would...
