Mark Gaughan does an excellent job resetting the Bills' cap situation and discussing what they can spend on free agency. It's really an excellent piece and explains it very well. With the record $133 million cap, the Bills will have over $10 million to spend even with a Jairus Byrd franchise tag. Normally, that would allow them to upgrade on the offensive line or sign a veteran insurance policy at cornerback, but in this year's market everyone has significant cap space. It will create more competition for free agents. As Gaughan explains, it would be the perfect time to extend some of Buffalo's premiere young playmakers. Byrd, Marcell Dareus, C.J. Spiller, and Aaron Williams are prime candidates for some of this unexpected cap space. Which young players would you like to see the Bills extend?
