Houston just signed Ryan Fitzpatrick to a two year 7.5 million with 4 million guaranteed.
Houston can go of of three routes.
1) Houston cuts or trades Schuab rumors are the Raiders are interested.
They then go on to draft one of the "three" top QBs Bridgewater, Bortles, and Manziel. Pushing one of the elite prospects farther down the draft and possibly far enough to Buffalo.
2) they cut or trade Schuab appoint Fitzpatrick the starter and draft Clowney or Mack and pushes the QBs farther down the list
3) Houston keeps Schuab drafts Clowney or Mack and pushes the QBs farther down the list.
Scenerios two and three are the worst things that can happen to Buffalo, without Houston, grabbing a QB other QB needy teams don't have to worry as much. Because all 3 QBs have a chance to to be pushed to the mid teens of the draft.
Let me explain why with the recent FA signings.
Minnesota Tampa Bay Houston Tennessee Dallas all signing QBs to a degree.
Minnesota, Tampa, and Houston signed QBs who could/will start for them in 2014 pushing the need for a Rookie high profile pick a little farther down the road.
Tennessee and Dallas both signed backup QBs to contracts they don't necessarly need a high QB pick both also with many holes to fill they could be prime trade spots for teams looking to get back into the first round.
Cleveland has two 1st rounders they can trade up or wait and grab the last QB left.
Oakland signing Penn messes up a lot of draft boards they could play Penn at LT draft a rookie to play RT or they could go QB. Oakland is a mess right now.
If anything like scenerios 2 or 3 happen it leaves the draft looking something like this.
St Louis Robinson/Mack/Watkins/Clowney
Tampa Bay Watkins/Barr/Evans/Lewan/Matthews
Leaving Buffalo at 9 with Clowney Mack Matthews Robinson Lewan Watkins Evans Barr Donald possibly 8 of these 9 players could be off the board.
What could we do what should we do.
