NFL Draft order 2014: Buffalo Bills picks finalized

With no compensatory picks this year, the Buffalo Bills' seven picks in the 2014 NFL Draft have been finalized.

As had previously been predicted, the Buffalo Bills were not among the teams that were awarded compensatory NFL Draft picks by the NFL on Monday.

Compensatory picks are awarded by net loss in free agency. Despite the fact that guard Andy Levitre signed a massive six-year contract in Tennessee last year (and the Bills lost guard Chad Rinehart, as well), Buffalo's signings of Manny Lawson, Alan Branch and Kevin Kolb offset the loss enough that they were not eligible for an extra draft pick.

Buffalo's net free agency gains and losses from the past several weeks - Jairus Byrd and Arthur Moats leaving (perhaps soon to be joined by Alex Carrington), and Anthony Dixon, Chris Williams, Brandon Spikes, Keith Rivers and Corey Graham coming in - will not come into play until next spring, prior to the 2015 NFL Draft.

WGR 550's Joe Buscaglia reports that the Bills' seven selections in May's draft, barring any draft-day trades (which happened a year ago), will occur at the following spots.
