Pro days, annual scouting events hosted by colleges to showcase their top NFL Draft prospects, began in earnest on Monday. The first pro days with significance for fans of the Buffalo Bills and their No. 9 overall pick begin today, with both Buffalo and Auburn hosting scouts and showing off potential Top 5 picks.
Khalil Mack, the UB product that many consider to be the top linebacker available this year, will be on the field starting at 8AM for workouts with his fellow UB seniors. Our friends over at UB Bull Run, SB Nation's Buffalo Bulls community, report that the Bills will have two personnel men on hand for the workouts: Tom Gibbons (Director of Pro Personnel) and Doug Majeski (Coordinator of College Scouting & National Cross Checker). Make sure you check out UB Bull Run's full coverage of Buffalo's pro day, which includes another interesting nugget: former Bills receiver Naaman Roosevelt will be working out today.
Auburn's pro day, featuring arguably the top offensive tackle prospect available in Greg Robinson, will begin at 11AM ET (10AM CT), with players taking the field following a weightlifting session. We have not seen an official list of teams represented or who is representing them, but we do know that the Bills will at least be represented by none other than Buddy Nix, who is particularly interested in checking out pass rusher Dee Ford today.
Other schools hosting pro days today include Alabama State, Eastern Illinois, Northwestern, Purdue, Arkansas-Slippery Rock and SMU.
