I really liked it. I think it showed me an inside perspective of what they may do this yr and expect. But it leaves my expectations low :(.
To hear that the offensive line is viewed as a low end need is a bit disgruntling. I mean we dont have a veteran qb who makes the quickest of reads... hes developing with Injury problems. If were ever gonna find out if he can make It give him protection. Let him develope 2 yrs before you try to water down the line. Im okay with that. I love mike evans me and my bro in law have been druling at his talents since we watched the tx am/ Alabama game. Id love seeing him on this offense for yrs to come especially with an ASJ 2nd rd...
But if Jake Mathews is there draft him. Otherwise go with there original plan I wouldnt wanna Iinvest in Lewan long term... But If mathews Is there put him on the right side give manual no reason for excuses. Leave him there to develope and dominate a couple years when Cordy's rookie contract comes up let him go, move Mathews to left as your new long term LT and waterdown your line if you like. Its a long term way to save money too the line is expensive and this buys you two tackles for his development and five years of having a great left tackle for a cheap price. (Under rookie contracts).
Also I think we have to find a 3 down lb in the draft who ever that might be. There obviously going to invest in a cheaper 2 down linebacker for run stuffing. But to not have a 3 down linebacker to develope as a run stopper whos good in coverage would be ideal. Maybe not possible. But god for bid Kiko was to go down this year. Were asking him to play a ton... what we'd say injuries killed us and let every team we play come in throw to there TE's for 100 yards a game. Dropping down and getting Mosely could solidify this defense for a long time but watching this video. I see a watered down defensefrom last year and an injury at FS or Linebacker away from another shitty season. And a team that will be afraid to trade down and gain a 2nd and fill more holes to provide EJ with a big talented reciever.... I was excited about this year till I watched this video. Thought this was the year we'd really make a jump up and compete. Even a season where week 17 meant something with out a playoff birth would leave optimism. Instead we'll have an injured EJ and have to pray none of the key defensive position get hit with injuries. Addressing holes with mediocricy is not a way to improve a cheap middle line backer a down grade at FS dont wanna pay a lineman or draft one early to select a wideout where we have 4 in the first round. I love mike evans play but will colapse inside if we dont address top needs in round one and fill apparent wholes with top talent. I mean let EJ get hurt that'll get evans alot of catches... How else can you improve. How many years do we have to wait to make the playoffs before the team feels like this is the year to go all In free agency and all in on the draft to make the playoffs. And I dont even mean brake the bank but atleast feel like you know what 2 yrs from now we might not have the money to sign gilmore but ya know what we did sign that top MLB or top OL guy so we can fill glaring holes with talent and feel as fans that atleast our organization tried to go all in for once and make the push for us to get over the hump. Ive been a bills fan since I was 7 and im 32 now. Finally had optimism, new team new regime... ugh
