Matthews, the son of Hall of Fame offensive lineman Bruce Matthews, enters the NFL as a four-year starter for the Aggies. He spent his first three years playing right tackle, making 33 consecutive starts at the position, before flipping over to the left side to replace 2013 No. 2 overall pick Luke Joeckel. Half an inch shy of 6'6" and 308 pounds, Matthews is considered one of the safest prospects available in the 2014 NFL Draft, and a capable day one starter a either left or right tackle. His visit had been previously reported, and WGR 550's Joe Buscaglia says that Matthews dined with Bills brass on Tuesday evening.
Brown was a three-year starter for the Cardinals at inside linebacker, finishing his four-year playing career with 301 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss, 4.5 sacks and an interception. The 6'1", 251-pound Brown is a two-down thumper inside that is expected to be selected in the mid-to-late rounds of the 2014 NFL Draft.
The Bills have now confirmed 13 pre-draft visitors so far this spring; they are allowed a maximum of 30. Here's the full list, including a reported future visit from Odell Beckham, which we're also keeping track of in this StoryStream.
