Even though I probably would have went Mack with that trade, I am very excited about Sammy making things happen but Woods and Goodwin have to grow up fast and Williams has to be some semblance of a beast. I am not looking back and 2nd guessing Whaley on this one. Also not expecting much out of Preston Brown in the 3rd round other than a true special teams crusher and Spikes' successor next year as a very limited MLB
IMO our true draft grade this year hinges on either Cyril or Cyrus. We can't afford to miss on both of them. I'm nervous already on Cyrus. Even when healthy, the dude is not mobile and looks like he will get speed rushed with ease at the NFL level if he doesn't get hands on a DE immediately. Hope I am wrong. If he's at least a 30% upgrade from Pears/Hairston, that is my expectation of success, but still feels very rich at the 2nd round. I am not expecting "anchor tackle" things from him. The weird thing is I AM expecting solid OG road-grading play from Cyril, where he becomes a true steal in the 5th. At worst, maybe we can pound the rock hard to the right this year. Could we move Urbik to the LG spot? If we Cyril plays well on the right in camp and preseason, could Urbik be the answer at LG?
