With the NFL draft now over, and players getting ready for camps to start, it seems like there are fewer holes on this team than we have had in quite a while. But there are some areas that still need to be addressed. I'm not much of an NCAA follower, so I want to get some thoughts from the avid college football fans, on which players the Bills may target next year. Some fans don't think EJ is the answer at QB, and some may list it as the highest need going into next year, I am not one of them, and so I left QB off the list. With his rookie season cut short, baring any injuries, he really should get a full year to hone his craft. I personally feel like next year should truly be his make or break year, add in the fact that the Bills surrendered their 1st Rd pick, they may not have a choice anyways. With that being said, these are the positions (in no set order) that came to mind that I feel the Bills need to address next year, whether it be FA, or the draft:
DE: With Mario as the only true 43 DE on the roster, would searching for a more complete DE be the highest priority going into next year?
DT: I love meatball, but how much longer can he stay productive. Should the Bills look for a mid round player they can start to develop?
TE: Do I really need to say anything here. Fans have been clamoring for a stud TE for years.
OLB: An affordable Keith Rivers seems like a stop gap player. It would be nice to see the Bills add another 3 down backer to play alongside Kiko.
Punter: Could be a 6,7th or UDFA to replace, as my friends and I used to call him, "Thunder foot" Moorman.
These are the positions that come to mind for me. What do you guys think?
