The One Player You LEAST Want to Draft

I like to get a feel for the player most of us don't want to get picked in the first round. Unfortunately, in 3 of the last 8 years the Bills have picked my least favorite player with their first pick. In 2006 it was Whitner, in 2010 it was Spiller and last year it was EJ. I was never saying that any of those players didn't have a ton of talent and wouldn't be successful, but given our needs and the available players, those were the guys I absolutely did not want to see the Bill stake.

I think we can all agree that Whitner was a big mistake when Ngata was on the board. While Spiller is electric, he was never a big need and I just don't think it was a good pick even in hindsight. EJ remains to be seen. I sure hope he proves me wrong but I'm still highly skeptical that he'll ever pan out into a playoff caliber QB (God please let me be wrong on that).

This year, I am very concerned when I hear the name of Beckham being mocked to us. I am not even a huge fan of drafting Watkins or Evans either. I just don't see the glaring need at WR with Stevie, Williams, Woods and Goodwin on the roster. I'm not saying down the road we don't have needs (given Stevie and Williams' contracts), but in trying to win now, I don't see the need to draft a WR in the first round. But, with Watkins I see a superstar and can understand why they'd want him. I am not a huge fan of Evans, but he gives us a size dimension that we don't have right now and he has huge upside too.

That brings me to Beckham. Like with Spiller, I am not saying he's not a great talent. But I don't see the need for him given the playmakers we already have at WR. So he'd be my selection as who I'd least want to see us draft in round one.

So, select your pick for most realistic player that we might draft that you'd be most upset about.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
