As Bills fans I would say the better part of this decade we have wanted every draft to get that one player who can bring it all together, but either we reached or our scouting was awful. The Kiko injury showed me one thing.... Drafting BPA has been happening since Whaley came along and scouting has been increasingly more accurate. This is the first time in a long time that an injury to a starter didn't destroy us. We finally have depth to where a single injury will not cripple us. Will Bradham or Rivers excel as well as Kiko? Probably not, but it's not like last year when we had to throw Rodgers in the game and basically handed the Jets a W. Bradham and Rivers are both serviceable starters, and I think as a whole we have depth at every position that teams can't exploit one area and force our defense to change so they can exploit another area.
Who knows how the season will unfold, but if anyone in this regime has shown his ability to create a roster, it is Whaley and that is someone I do not want lose.
