Doug Marrone Era was doomed from the beginning

When we look back at the demise of the Doug Marrone Era in a year or two, it was doomed from the very beginning.

Four of the most important pieces to a football franchise with the exception of the GM, are the head coach, offensive coordinator, defensive coordinator and quarterback,

When DM became coach in 2013, we had a rookie head coach (no NFL head coach experience), a rookie offensive coordinator (no NFL offensive coordinator experience), defensive coordinator Mike Pettine who had NFL experience as a defensive coordinator and a rookie quarterback. Is it really a surprise that Pettine was successful while Marrone and Hackett were not.

With a rookie head coach, rookie offensive coordinator and a rookie quarterback, should we really be surprised how poorly this team is prepared for the 2014 season. I pray I am dead wrong, but this season looks like a train wreck ready to happen.

With glaring inexperience at head coach, offensive coordinator and quarterback, there is no surprise this team is headed to another 6 - 10 season and DM will be on the hot seat.

I do believe this team has talent and the potential to be a playoff team. But with Marrone and Hackett leading the charge, this season will sadly be a series of beat downs.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
