Maybe New Orleans should Avoid Buffalo

New Orleans used to like picking up Buffalo Bills players. Jabari Greer did really well there after his time in Buffalo. But this article at NFL.com shows just how "on the bubble" Jairus Byrd and CJ Spiller are:

From NFL.com:

"Spiller didn't look right in New Orleans last season as he struggled with a knee injury. ... there is doubt that New Orleans will retain a No. 3 running back with a $4.5 million cap hit."

"Sean Payton signed Byrd against former defensive coordinator Rob Ryan's wishes, then forced Ryan to change his system to suit Byrd's strengths. No defense gave up more points or yards in the two seasons to follow. ...he's clearly on thin ice after 17 ineffective games over the last two years. No player earned more guaranteed money in 2014 free agency, and now Byrd's starting job isn't even safe."

I am happy the Bills avoided the big paycheck to Byrd, but I am hoping that Spiller can get healthy. We have a couple former Saints working for a spot on the Bills roster, lets hope this does not work in reverse as well.

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
