2017 Free Agent Right Tackles

Regarding the current in house options Buffalo does have former 2nd round pick Cyrus Kouandijo under contract for the 2017 season. A disapointment for most of his early career Kouandijo played very well at left tackle while filling in for Cordy Glenn when he was out with some injuries last season. It remains to be seen however if Kouandijo can play the right side.

Here is the crazy thing Kouandijo is going into his 4th season now in the NFL, the last year of his original contract however he will only be 24 years old when the season starts, honestly there are some players in the draft who are only a year younger.

However as it is Buffalo does need to think about the Right Tackle position and if I discount the Left Tackle options here is the current list

So from this list you have a pretty good Mix. There are the Older Veteran guys - Sebastian Vollmer, Gosder Cherilus, Andrew Smith, Eric Winston.

Of these I will be honest if Buffalo Could pick up someone like Vollmer for a cheap 1 year deal it would be a steal. Vollmer missed all of last season following hip surgery, he might be done all together but if he wants to keep playing he will need to do it on a 1 year prove it deal.

It's really hard for me to figure out what Buffalo should do. I am not impressed with the Offensive tackles in this years draft. Unless we think Mills is going to get better and bring him back I think Buffalo's best bet is to look at the older guys and sign someone to a 1 or 2 year deal

Just another great fan opinion shared on the pages of BuffaloRumblings.com.
