Via ESPN's Mike Rodak, we finally have contract details for Buffalo Bills tight end Scott Chandler. He signed a two-year, $4.75 million contract to return to the Bills last week.
That's a pay cut for the Bills' leading receiver in 2013, who signed a two-year, $5.45 million contract to return to the Bills prior to the 2012 season. Chandler's new contract guarantees him $1.2 million, which was his signing bonus; his last deal had $1.25 million guaranteed.
In addition to the signing bonus, Chandler will receive a $50,000 workout bonus this spring. Next year, his base salary rises from $1.25 million to $1.95 million, and he'll also be due a $250,000 roster bonus at the start of the 2015 league year.
Chandler, who will be 29 in July, has been the Bills' starting tight end for three full seasons now. In that time frame, he has caught 134 passes for 1,615 yards and 14 touchdowns. He'll be penciled in as the starter heading into training camp this summer, barring a high-round investment at the position in the NFL Draft; veteran Tony Moeaki will be his stiffest competition already on the roster.
