Doug Whaley Buffalo Bills approval poll: November 2013

Kevin Hoffman-USA TODAY Sports

A little more than half through his first season as Buffalo Bills GM, how do you think Doug Whaley has done so far?

We have not run an approval poll for Buffalo Bills GM Doug Whaley since July, when the Bills were in the midst of contract posturing with agent Eugene Parker and free safety Jairus Byrd. This year, we decided not to run monthly approval polls for Buffalo's top decision-makers, but to stagger them further apart to (hopefully) take a better temperature and engender more reflective discussion in these posts.

Whaley, you'll recall, was elevated to the GM post in May when Buddy Nix stepped down from the position. That came after the 2013 NFL Draft - though Whaley was heavily involved in that process, of course. Since then, Whaley has re-tooled the front office a bit, watched Byrd sit out the entirety of training camp, and made several back-end roster decisions to varying levels of success. He has also, we imagine, spent a good deal of time on the road scouting 2014 NFL Draft prospects.

For reference, here are the players that Whaley has brought onto the current Bills roster since our last approval poll: Thad Lewis, Ronnie Wingo, Evan Rodriguez, Mark Asper, Antoine McClain, Stefan Charles, Ty Powell, Brandon Smith, Jim Leonhard, Dan Carpenter and Brian Moorman.

There's a lot of ground to cover, and the Bills' current 3-6 record is only the starting point of what should be considered as you vote and comment. Have at it, Buffalo Rumblings.
