Hall of Fame quarterback Jim Kelly is out of the hospital this weekend, spending time with family and friends in New York City before his cancer treatments become more aggressive starting next week.
Last night, Kelly, his wife Jill and his daughter Erin took in the New York Knicks home game in celebration of his daughter making the Dean's list at Liberty University. In an interview with MSG, Kelly discussed his upcoming cancer treatments.
"My big battle starts on Monday when I go and start my radiation and chemo," Kelly said on Friday night. "I hope when it’s all over they get everything, but right now we’re praying for a miracle."
Kelly also thanked fans and well-wishers from around the world for an outpouring of support he's received over the past several weeks.
"Thank you for the prayers," Kelly said. "I'm a Christian, and I understand what prayers do, and it means a lot for us."
