Free agent cornerback Ron Brooks has agreed to a three-year, $6 million deal with the Philadelphia Eagles (he can earn another $2.7 million in playing time incentives), meaning that his four-year career with the Buffalo Bills has come to a close.

Brooks is the third former Bills defender to sign with the Eagles this offseason, joining cornerback Leodis McKelvin and linebacker Nigel Bradham. All three players are reuniting with the Bills' defensive coordinator circa 2014, Jim Schwartz, who now holds that same post under Doug Pederson in Philadelphia.
A fourth-round draft pick out of LSU in the 2012 NFL Draft, Brooks' true value with the Bills came as a special teams contributor, where he emerged as one of the better coverage men in the league when healthy. He'll likely fill a similar role in Philadelphia as a depth player with special teams ability. The Bills, meanwhile, are seeing their cornerback depth chart thin out considerably in the early stages of the offseason.
