The third day of 2014 NFL free agency is underway, and while this discussion thread will be used largely for general NFL discussion as more signings and visits are announced, enough has happened with the Buffalo Bills that we're turning this post into a team-specific free agency tracker.
OG Chris Williams: Spent the 2013 season as the starting left guard for the St. Louis Rams, and will likely assume the starting role at that same position in Buffalo. Signed a four-year, $13.5 million contract with $5.5 million guaranteed.
LB Keith Rivers: A part-time player for the New York Giants over the past two seasons, Rivers agreed to a two-year, $5 million deal with the Bills. He could push for a starting role on the outside in the Jim Schwartz defense.
CB Corey Graham: The Buffalo native (and former Baltimore Ravens part-time starter) is returning home, signing a four-year, $16 million deal that can ultimately be worth closer to $20 million if playing time incentives are met. Graham helps on special teams, can be penciled in as the nickel back, and could push for a starting job, as well.
S Jairus Byrd: Signed a six-year, $54 million contract with $28 million guaranteed with the New Orleans Saints on Tuesday evening.
TE Scott Chandler: Has been loosely affiliated with the Detroit Lions on the open market, and has a standing offer from the Bills, according to GM Doug Whaley.
OT Thomas Welch: Was not tendered as an RFA, meaning that his time as a Bill is likely at an end.
DT Alex Carrington: Reportedly receiving interest from the Rams and the Cleveland Browns on the open market. He, too, has an offer from the Bills, per Whaley.
LB Arthur Moats: Has been linked predominantly to Cleveland on the open market, and again, Whaley said that Moats has been offered a contract in Buffalo.
S Jim Leonhard: Even after Byrd's departure, it's not considered likely that Leonhard will be playing his last pro season in a Bills uniform.
The comments section is all yours, Bills fan. Have fun on this glorious, post-blizzard Thursday.
