Tim Ryan/Pat Kirwin of SiriusXM NFL Radio are at Bills Camp today. Heres a few main points I caught. They were talking up Carrington big time. Said on 1 on 1 drills he was basically unstoppable and looks much stronger and technically sound than the past 2 seasons. Said Cordy Glenn looks like a beast and they both think hes the real deal. Graham is fast as hell, and they said he was falshing good hands today, even came down with multiple "circus like" catches today that really impressed them. Wanstedt was on with them and I caught the part where he is very impressed with Gilmores coverage and ball skills. But that AWill needs to stay consistant, the coaches know he has the talent, but he needs to put it all together now.

On if he thinks the team is quantum leaps ahead of where he thought they would be: I think we are ahead. I do not know how much quantum is; I am from south Georgia. But we are ahead for sure. Transcript: Chan Gailey

Bronze: Carl Nicks, OG, Tampa Bay Buccaneers There was a long list of candidates for this last spot on the podium. The offensive and defensive line coaches that I spoke with were very high on Ravens guard Marshal Yanda. Another name that kept popping up was a bit of a sleeper on the national scene: Bills center Eric Wood. However, Nicks was given the nod because of his freakish size, strength and ability to protect the passer. He is impossible to penetrate in the pass game because he has quick feet, a strong base and excellent balance. He has dominant moments in the run game, displaying the strength and power to knock defenders off the ball. If not for a few mental lapses, Nicks would have a legitimate case to claim the top spot on this list.

The Bills’ release of Drayton Florence was as much about the team’s confidence in Aaron Williams as it was about the team’s confidence in Stephon Gilmore. Unless Gilmore totally fell on his face in camp, the plan all along was for him to be a day one starter. Williams, who was chosen with the 34th overall pick one year ago, has shown the Bills coaching staff enough for them to believe he could be ready to start as well.

Dave Wannstedt was just on SiriusXM NFL Radio Late Hits. For the most part he was on there to talk about the passing of Junior Seau, but then they started talking Bills football. The one thing that stood out to me was what he had to say about Merriman. He said when he showed up in the weight room the other day he looked like a new man. He said that Shawne is up to 265lbs and has never looked better in his life. Said hes real excited to get his hand in the dirt and come off the ball as a true DE. He told Wannstedt that "Hes not playing in coverage anymore, hes getting after the QB."

Chad Clifton got released by the Packers today. Think he'd be worth a shot a signing him? It would let us focus on either WR or CB.
