Remember Week 3? When the Buffalo Bills erased a 21-point deficit and pulled off their most thrilling victory of the past decade, beating the New England Patriots 34-31 on a last-second field goal and ending a 15-game losing streak to their division rivals? That was a long time ago. It was awesome.
Today, the Bills are 6-9, weeks removed from playoff contention (and months removed from serious contention), and the Patriots have won 80 percent of their games and are playing for home-field advantage throughout the AFC playoffs. Order has clearly been restored in the football universe.
The Bills close out their 2011 regular season today with a trip to New England, putting a bow on consecutive season No. 12 with no playoff appearance. Once it's over, another long, cold off-season begins. This is the last Bills football we'll get until July, so soak it in, good or bad. GO BILLS!
Buffalo Bills vs. Denver Broncos GameThread
Buffalo Bills (5-9) vs. Denver Broncos (8-6)
Saturday, December 24, 2011 at 1:00 PM ET
Ralph Wilson Stadium, Orchard Park, NY
Bills inactives: RB Johnny White (concussion), WR Ruvell Martin (hamstring), WR Naaman Roosevelt (scratch), TE Fendi Onobun (scratch), OT Sam Young (scratch), DE Jarron Gilbert (scratch), FS Joshua Nesbitt (scratch)
Today's game in Orchard Park features two teams trending in two different directions. A Buffalo Bills team once sitting at 5-2 and atop the AFC East has since lost seven straight games and has been officially out of the playoff race for two weeks. A Denver Broncos team once 1-4 has won seven of nine en route to leading the AFC West and controlling their own destiny for a home playoff game.
The Bills have nothing to play for but pride today, while the Broncos are trying to stave off an entire division and finish their surprising run to the post-season. Aside from pride and a paycheck, however, the Bills could give their fans a nice holiday gift by ending their seven-game skid in surprising fashion. Hey - anything can happen. GO BILLS!

Six straight losses. A Buffalo Bills team once in contention for a division title and the first meaningful season in more than a decade has lost six straight games, been eliminated from playoff contention, and are playing for pride today in front of a non-capacity crowd at Ralph Wilson Stadium. The game's been blacked out locally. It must be Bills football in December!
Still, if there's any amount of satisfaction that the Bills can wring out of their twelfth straight season without the playoffs, it'll come by beating the Miami Dolphins today. This is a Dolphins team that, despite starting 0-7 and being coached by the lamest of lame ducks, absolutely throttled the Bills a month ago, winning by a score of 35-8 in Miami. Exacted revenge would help Bills fans forget about the team's overwhelming number of problems for a little while. Let's see if they can't get it done. GO BILLS!

The last time the Buffalo Bills won a football game, we were a day away from celebrating Halloween. The Bills haven't won since October 30, and they ride their five-game losing streak across the country today to take on the similarly-reeling San Diego Chargers.
San Diego has had a season much like Buffalo. They started the year 4-1, then lost six straight games before getting a much-needed victory over a hapless Jacksonville team on Monday Night Football earlier this week. Make no mistake: this is very much a matchup between two highly disappointing football teams. Sounds fun!

Bills inactives: WR Derek Hagan (scratch), OT Sam Young (scratch), DE Kyle Moore (scratch), SS George Wilson (neck), K Rian Lindell (shoulder), LB Antonio Coleman (scratch), WR Kamar Aiken (scratch)
Riding a current four-game losing streak, the Buffalo Bills return to Ralph Wilson Stadium for the first time since November 6 today to take on the Tennessee Titans in front of a crowd that will most certainly not fill the Ralph to capacity.
Buffalo's playoff hopes are very faint, and have been for a few weeks now, while the Titans are two games out of the AFC South lead and hoping to catch a Houston team that's down to its third-string quarterback. In terms of incentive, the Titans have a clear advantage today. We'll see if the Bills can't keep their own dying hopes alive while playing spoiler for the Titans.

Well, here we are. Three weeks ago, the Buffalo Bills were 5-2 and sitting atop the AFC East, and today, they're 5-5, reeling after three blowout losses, and in desperate need of a win to keep their fading playoff hopes alive. (Is there a stronger word than "fading"? A dying star comes to mind - you can't see it's dead yet, but it's been dead for a while.)
This is your open thread for today's game against the New York Jets. Three weeks ago, the Jets beat the Bills 27-11 at Ralph Wilson Stadium; since then, they're 0-2 and have lost by a combined score of 54-29. Between two sliding teams, something's got to give today. GO BILLS!

It's only been three weeks, but it feels like a lifetime ago that the Buffalo Bills came off their bye week with a thorough 23-0 pounding of the Washington Redskins. Since that game, the Bills have been outscored 71-18 by the New York Jets and Dallas Cowboys, and they're in desperate need of a win.
The Miami Dolphins, meanwhile, have won two straight games - over Washington and the Kansas City Chiefs - by a combined score of 51-12. Buffalo beat those teams by a combined 64-7, but there's no question that Miami holds the edge in momentum entering today's Week 11 contest.
Buffalo - battered and banged up in the past two weeks and on the injury report - desperately need a win today if they want to keep their fading playoff hopes alive. Here's to going out and getting one. GO BILLS!
Buffalo Bills At Dallas Cowboys GameThread - First Half
Buffalo Bills (5-3) at Dallas Cowboys (4-4)

Cowboys Stadium, Arlington, TX
Bills inactives: TE Mike Caussin (scratch), OT Demetrius Bell (shoulder), OT Sam Young (scratch), OLB Chris Kelsay (calf), CB Aaron Williams (chest), CB Reggie Corner (scratch), K Rian Lindell (shoulder)
They say that each week in the NFL is a test. The Buffalo Bills have been up-and-down test takers for over a month now, alternating wins and losses after a 3-0 start to the season. Today's test: travel to Arlington, Texas, and pick up a win against a surging Dallas Cowboys team that has found balance on offense and is looking to scrap back into the thick of things in the NFC East. Coming off of an embarrassing home (divisional) loss, it's imperative that the Bills rebound today.
This is your open thread to discuss today's game as the Bills try to improve to 6-3 on the year. This test will be a difficult one; let's hope the Bills do better on this one than they have in recent weeks. Enjoy the game, folks. GO BILLS!

Buffalo Bills (5-2) vs. New York Jets (4-3)
Sunday, November 6, 2011 at 1:00 PM ET
Ralph Wilson Stadium, Orchard Park, NY
Bills inactives: OT Demetrius Bell (shoulder), OT Sam Young (scratch), DT Kyle Williams (foot), OLB Chris Kelsay (calf), CB Aaron Williams (chest), CB Reggie Corner (scratch), CB Terrence Wheatley (scratch)
They say that each week in the NFL is a test. Not only is today's critical divisional matchup the Bills' biggest test of the season to date, it's also one of the most important mid-season games that the Bills have played in quite some time. With a win, the Bills will maintain control of their own destiny as they seek a division title and their first playoff berth since 1999; a loss obviously won't eliminate them, but would likely send them tumbling in the standings for a week.
This is your open thread to discuss today's game as the Bills try to improve to 6-2 on the year. This test will be a difficult one, but the Bills have proven themselves fairly apt test-takers to this point in the season. Enjoy the game, folks. GO BILLS!

Buffalo Bills (4-2) vs. Washington Redskins (3-3)

Rogers Centre, Toronto, Ontario, Canada
Bills inactives: WR Donald Jones (ankle), OT Demetrius Bell (shoulder), OT Chris Hairston (ankle) DT Kyle Williams (foot), OLB Antonio Coleman (scratch), CB Aaron Williams (chest), CB Terrence Wheatley (scratch)
They say that each week in the NFL is a test. The Buffalo Bills suffered the unfortunate fate of their second failed test of the season - a loss to the Giants - linger through their bye week. Their test today? End a three-game losing streak in Toronto - where George Wilson is correct in saying they don't have a home-field advantage - and win a winnable game to keep their playoff hopes alive.
This is your open thread to discuss today's game as the Bills try to improve to 5-2 on the year. This test will be a difficult one, but the Bills have proven themselves fairly apt test-takers to this point in the season. Enjoy the game, folks. GO BILLS!
