Burress out for Sunday's clash with 'Skins

East Rutherford, NJ (Sports Network) - New York Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress will miss Sunday's game against Washington because of a hamstring injury.
The former first round pick attempted to play through the injury in last week's 37-29 victory over the Cardinals, but wound up leaving after one series.
After a 10-catch, 133-yard performance in the season-opener against Washington, Burress has faced double teams and his statistics have dropped considerably. For the season, he has just 35 receptions for a team-high 454 yards and four touchdowns.
In other injury news, Giants running back Brandon Jacobs, who sat out last week's contest because of a knee injury, fully participated in Friday's practice and is listed as questionable. Defensive end Justin Tuck (lower leg) also practiced Friday and has been upgraded to probable.
For the Redskins, running back Clinton Portis (knee/oblique) is listed as questionable.
