Report: Patriots add S Lynch

Foxborough, MA (Sports Network) - The New England Patriots have reportedly signed John Lynch to a one-year, $1.5 million deal.
According to NFL.com, the nine-time Pro Bowl selection took a physical Wednesday and will join a team that has been ravaged by injuries at safety and cornerback. Safety/linebacker Tank Williams was the latest to go down for the defending AFC champs, suffering a season-ending knee injury in the first exhibition game.
Lynch, a 15-year veteran with Tampa Bay and Denver, has 26 interceptions and 16 forced fumbles in his career. Last year with the Broncos Lynch recorded 59 tackles in 13 games played.
