Sunday Football Open Thread

Since it's football Sunday and our beloved Bills don't play until tomorrow night, it's pretty obvious: we need a place to talk about the games that go on today. So use this thread if you want to discuss the Dolphins' latest loss, Eli Manning's big day against the Jets secondary or talk a little smack in fantasy football. We'll be doing this next week as well (the Bills have a bye week), so enjoy your Sunday and leave your football thoughts here!

The game I'll be watching: hands down, Giants/Jets. That should be a fun game to watch; it airs a 1PM ET. For the later matchups, keep an eye on the Broncos/Chargers tilt as well as the Colts/Bucs game; both of those could be very interesting.

Fantasy Football
I need some help with fantasy.  Who do I start pick two,

Shaun Alexander vs PIt
Travis Henry vs SD
Brian Leonard vs Ari
or Thomas Jones vs NYG

Henry and Jones
Travis WILL play today, and San Diego's D has been pretty bad thus far. Play him. Play Thomas Jones, too - the Giants are giving up over 100 rush yards per game, and the Jets will try to get the run game back on track after the Bills SHUT IT DOWN last week. :-P

FF
Jones and Henry

Pitt never give up a 100 yd rusher

I'll be rocking the old school Phil Hansen jersey today soaking up all the football up in Amherst.  Tailgating starts today for tomorrow night!

Go Evans
He is, you know, actually playing in this game; I'm going Poz because it's either that or my obsolete McGahee jersey. Can't believe I haven't burned that thing yet...

Ugh.
I hate fantasy football. For a month, Donte' Stallworth does his best impression of The Invisible Woman on the football field. So I bench him, and he responds with a touchdown in the first quarter. Disgusting.

If it makes you feel any better
I've got him benched against you this week.  For Roddy F'ing White.

Haha.
I love that you talked smack on the Dolphins and Jets, yet you somehow failed to mention the Pats.  Wait, no, I don't love it, it actually makes me nearly suicidal.  Damn Pats...

It's OK
We're right there with you on the Patsies. But we gotta kick the 'Fins and Jets while they're down, right?

Fantasy
Here's my lineup today:

Jason Campbell (no McNabb)
Edge
Reggie Bush
Braylon Edwards
Terrell Owens (sorry Bills...)
Greg Jennings
Antonio Gates
Rackers
San Diego

not too bad so far, Campbell is playing well against Detroit's putrid defense

I need to make a quick decision
Bernard berrian or Evans?

I think I'm going with Berrian.  I can't trust Lee Evans anymore.

Wise decision
Similar threats (a.k.a. they're both deep threats). Good idea to go with the vet QB here, even if that vet is Brian Griese.

Of course, the Bills are likely to be playing from behind, and Lee might rack up a few points there...

lee for sure
lee will be looked at a lot.  Anthony Henry is out and Brian Greise is a lot worst than Trent Edwards, even if Edwards is only a rook.  Bills are trying to get Evans the ball.

frick
of course, that didn't work out.  Berrian got benched and I'm screwed. Yay

Hurt
Berrian has a messed up toe, if I caught the broadcast right. Wouldn't have mattered anyway - Griese likes his tight ends too much.
