Bills Trade Up to Select LB Posluszny

Needless to say, this is by far the most excited I have been as a Bills fan in quite a while. Paul Posluszny is the perfect fit for the Buffalo Bills - he comes at a position of HUGE need, he is the hardest worker you'll find, he's smart, tough and has the skills to fit in our defensive scheme. Best of all, he's a leader - with all of our departures on the defensive side of the ball this year, his leadership qualities will be of most value to the Bills out of the gate.
Since Mel Kiper is an idiot, I'll clarify something he said. Kiper said that Posluszny will play middle linebacker in our scheme, but I just don't see that happening. Angelo Crowell has been bulking up all off-season and has the skills to play the middle. Posluszny played middle 'backer in college, sure, but he was far more effective on the outside. My guess is that he will play strongside 'backer from the get-go.
In order to move up to select Posluszny, the Bills swapped the #43 and #74 picks for the rights to the #34 pick. This is a pretty steep price to pay in my opinion, but I also believe that the value Posluszny represents easily outweighs the price paid. Great move by our front office.
Seriously, I am absolutely thrilled right now to be a Bills fan! GREAT job by Marv to realize that the 'backers would slide and get TWO first-round talents!

Welcome to the site!
Keep on talking to us, too! We value everyone's opinions here.
As for Cleveland, I'd say you're right - they've had an exciting first day. But I don't know - I'd put Buffalo neck and neck with them. We filled two huge needs with the top 2 players on our board - how can you get better than that?! :-D

Re: CB
I could see WR and maybe LB coming into play again, with S a longshot.

What? Dang it, late again...
This was AMAZING. I've been having to watch secondarily today, to my frustration. They get their top LB (yes, you can confirm that now) and their (#2? Or #1?) RB.
And yes, they now have a long term winner value with the third. I'm telling you, they're sold on Ashton.
What an astonishing, suprising day.
