Panda signs with the 49ers....

I just caught the news on ESPN that the Panda himself has signed a one year deal with the San Francisco 49ers. I for one am glad just to see this ordeal end. It didn't turn out the way we had hoped, but at least its over. And personally I am glad that the Bills did not overpay even if it is a position of need. I also really don't think he will do much more this year to earn that huge paycheck he is looking for....Oh well at least the panda has found a new home and we can move forward!

Saw it here I guess he's hoping that Alex Smith can stay upright long enough to throw him the ball. I'm thinking that with Martz as the new O-C, Smith's family should take a new life insurance policy out on him.

That will be particularly true....

When we play them this year. Remember the Cincy game this year? I hope the punishing we gave Ocho Cinco is nothing compared to what Johnson will get from us.

I hope so, but it's probably pretty doubtful.

I can't believe we could be heading into the draft without adding a single WR.

I have seen a few reports

One from Chris Brown saying Hackett is headed to TB today as he left Washington w/o a contract. I really hope we do make a serious move at him, but I don't know if that'll happen.

I hate to see the Panda watch end. 2 weeks and he signs a 1 year deal. What a chump. His agent screwed him

I doubt we look at Hackett. They think Josh Reed is going to "come into his own" this season.

Johnson situation

It is funny that he signed a one-year deal. The purpose of a one-year deal is to prove you are worth getting a huge raise at the end on the one-year contract. I guess he feels that going to San Fran for one-year will do that for him... I am guessing not.

I don't think we sign a free agent WR. I am guessing we take a WR early and one late in thte draft.

If we don't get Evan's an extention

We may be seeing two WR relatively early. We need to make sure and get a deal done with Lee so we are not looking for a future number one and number two.

NO Johnson should = Evans extension

With us not being able to sign Johnson (it is not a big deal to me that we didn't sign him), it means we have to extend Evans. Even if we drafted two legit WR, if Evans left, our #1 and #2 WR would be 2nd year players. I think using the money to extend Evans is a great idea and lets not forget about Crowell. I feel if we lose him next year it will be a huge hole to fill. We spent years having him develop behind Spikes and now is his time to shine. I think he is a Pro Bowl type player and if we wait to sign him until after he makes the Pro Bowl this year, his price will sky rocket.
