Rumblings' Final Bills Mock Draft (UPDATED)

Update [2007-4-28 11:12:44 by Brian G]: Good morning! Welcome to the 2007 NFL Draft Coverage at Buffalo Rumblings! Here's what you can expect as far as coverage from this site today:

- Full IMMEDIATE analysis of each Bills pick!
- Breakdowns of any trades the Bills make
- Lots of chatter! I'll be flocking around each of the SB Nation sites today talking about the Draft, so if you'd like to chat you can do it in any of the threads that are created today OR you can IM me at bgalliford1021 as well! I'll be around all day and am looking forward to hearing from some of you!

When each pick is made I will provide full analysis and I will also put up 1) a link to the pick in the Draft Center block to your immediate left and 2) a new poll asking you to grade the pick. Hoping to hear lots of feedback today!

Today is the Christmas Day of the NFL Calendar. Enjoy it!

First thing's first (per KFFL):

Bills | Team out of Turner race
Fri, 27 Apr 2007 16:29:15 -0700

John Clayton, of ESPN, reports the Buffalo Bills are out of the running in acquiring San Diego Chargers RB Michael Turner.

Interesting. I didn't have much hope (although there was some hope, for sure), but it looks like it will come down to the Packers or Titans for Turner's services. Brandon Jackson, anyone?

OK, now for the mock. Sure, at this point these mock drafts are absolutely pointless. Nobody knows what the Raiders are gonna do at #1, let alone what any team is going to do throughout the entire seven rounds. But I'm just cocky enough to think I can make a good guess; at the very least it'll give us something more to talk about. Here we go:

1-12: Paul Posluszny, LB, Penn State
2-43: Tanard Jackson, CB, Syracuse
3-74: Brandon Jackson, RB, Nebraska
3-92: Quincy Black, LB, New Mexico
4-111: Laurent Robinson, WR, Illinois State
6-184: Mike Otto, OT, Purdue
7-222: Marcus Hamilton, CB, Virginia
7-239: Deljuan Robinson, DT, Mississippi State

There you have it. These are all guys I personally like as prospects and all guys who fit what the team needs and what Levy and the front office value as people. Critique it as you like.

Feel free to offer your own mock drafts as well - I'd love to see what everyone thinks mere hours before the real thing!

P.S. If you're looking for some of the best analysis on today's draft prospects on the web, look no further than the stellar work put together by some of the wonderful writers at Buffalo Rumblings! By position:
