I know that I've done this once, but I seriously can't help myself. Every year it's the same - every two-ish weeks I take a look at the Bills roster, their depth and try to figure out exactly who I'll be seeing on the field on Sundays three months from now (a rather depressing statement on more than one level).
There have been a few developments of late (Jason Webster, Darwin Walker, etc.) that have changed the outlook of the Bills' roster. With those in mind, here's my new projected depth chart that I hope to see heading into the regular season:
WR: Peerless Price, Josh Reed, George Wilson
LT: Jason Peters
LG: Derrick Dockery, Aaron Merz
C: Melvin Fowler, Duke Preston
RG: Jason Whittle, Brad Butler
RT: Langston Walker, Terrance Pennington
TE: Robert Royal, Kevin Everett
WR: Lee Evans, Roscoe Parrish, Sam Aiken
QB: J.P. Losman, Craig Nall, Trent Edwards
RB: Marshawn Lynch, Anthony Thomas, Dwayne Wright, Josh Scobey
HB: Brad Cieslak, Derek Schouman
LE: Chris Kelsay, Ryan Denney
DT: Kyle Williams, Sam Rayburn*
UT: Larry Tripplett, John McCargo
RE: Aaron Schobel, Anthony Hargrove, C.J. Ah You
SLB: Angelo Crowell, Mario Haggan
MLB: Paul Posluszny, John DiGiorgio
WLB: Keith Ellison, Coy Wire
LCB: Terrence McGee, Ashton Youboty
SS: Donte Whitner, John Wendling
FS: Ko Simpson, Jim Leonhard
RCB: Kiwaukee Thomas, Jason Webster, Jabari Greer
SP: Rian Lindell, Brian Moorman, Mike Schneck
* = Rayburn is a projected addition in light of the Darwin Walker situation
Notable "cuts": RB Shaud Williams, TE Ryan Neufeld, DT Darwin Walker, LB Josh Stamer, CB Eric Bassey, S Jon Corto
There you have it. Flame away or agree away, if you'd like - what do you think will happen that differs from that mess above?
