Lists, ratings, "expert previews" and all of the other off-season fodder is about to fly straight out the window - Buffalo Bills training camp begins in ten short days. (Well, short for those of us who aren't anxiously awaiting Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, like yours truly. On that note, don't expect much out of me this weekend :-P). With that in mind, I've got a couple of announcements I'd like to make in regards to the upcoming festivities:
Starting tomorrow and lasting until literally the day before camp opens, I will be presenting you with a short series called Training Camp Battles (creative, I know). Eight installments have been planned for this series and will surround the usual news updates and Around the AFC East features. I'd like to see as much feedback on the Battles series as possible, so be sure to tune in over the next week and a half to make your voice heard on some of the Bills' most question-laden positions.
I also wanted it to be known that on two occasions - August 2 (a night practice) and August 14, I will be making the trek up to St. John Fisher College to take in Bills practices. On those occasions, I will be doing my best to take detailed notes and a few pictures for full practice reports of my own (not because Chris Brown's work is subpar, believe me). So keep an eye out for those after practices start; I'll throw up a reminder the day before each trip I make as well.
To that end - if any of the loyal readers here in the Rumblings community are attending practices as well, please feel free to contact me. If you do attend a practice and have any notes, observations or especially photos you'd like to share, please e-mail them to me at buffalorumblings@gmail.com and I will most certainly throw them up on the front page with full credit to those of you who participate. What better way to cover training camp than producing our own fan media, right? I strongly encourage anyone who attends to take advantage of this opportunity.
