Well, Rumblers, this is it. The Buffalo Bills are about to close the chapter that was their 2008 season in a season finale matchup with the New England Patriots. The Bills are looking for several things in this matchup: they're playing for their head coach's future. They're playing to add a bright spot in a long string of darkness in terms of Bills/Patriots matchups of the past decade. They're playing to avoid going 0-6 in their division, a feat that the St. Louis Rams have already achieved and the Detroit Lions are likely to.

The Patriots, meanwhile, are fighting for their playoff lives. Needless to say, they'll be playing to win this afternoon at The Ralph. Thus, it's not going to be an easy game by any stretch of the imagination. Not easy, to be sure, but it's undeniable to claim that it wouldn't be incredibly satisfying to knock the Patriots - the golden boys of the NFL - out of the playoffs.

This is your open thread for the season finale. Enjoy it, folks, because we're staring 9 months of an absence of Bills football directly in the face. GO BILLS!
