Sullivan: When it came time to pop, Bills' Edwards cooked up a dud : The Buffalo News
This was bad, folks. It was even worse than any of the preseason disasters, because the first-team offense (minus Langston Walker, of course) was out there for the entire game. Trent Edwards, confronted by a team with dynamic linemen and a genuine pass rush, turned back into Captain Checkdown.

Bills hope to get T.O. more involved | John Wawrow
Of Edwards’ 91 attempts this season, 78 have been short ones. As for the remaining 13 attempts that traveled 16 yards or more, Edwards has completed only four for 117 yards with two touchdowns and an interception. Against the Saints, Edwards’ first 20 attempts were short passes, and he only attempted two deep — both incomplete to Owens.

BillBoard: T.O. sounds off
"But [Sunday] as you saw, ... [the media] took some more than initiative to try to get me to kind of go down the wrong path. I know the last two teams that I've been on, I felt like I left those teams prematurely due to the media interviews that I've done and things kind of taken out of context, and they created sort of a media whirlwind in the locker room and things kind of went downhill from there. I'm just trying to do the best job I can do as far as answering the questions and trying to be a better teammate and not try to throw people under the bus.''
DiCesare: Saints' defense was on the ball against Bills : Bob Dicesare : The Buffalo News
The Bills mustered all of 243 yards, went 2 for 14 on third down, and surrendered four sacks of quarterback Trent Edwards as the Saints pressured him with alacrity. The Bills' longest play of the day came on a 25-yard touchdown connection between punter Brian Moorman and defensive end Ryan Denney off a fake field goal. Only one second-half possession lasted longer than five plays.

Bills Getting What They Paid For at OT : Buffalo Sports Daily
At this point, I can’t fathom the Bills not spending the money to make a veteran move at the tackle spot, even if Bell isn’t out for a significant length of time. Scott was uncovered yesterday, Chambers isn’t a NFL starter and Meredith belongs on the practice squad, not the field on Sundays.
Owens begins to stir the pot - The Globe and Mail
Give him the full benefit of the doubt and call it competitive frustration coming through, don't be quite so charitable and call it pure petulance: it doesn't really matter. It spells trouble either way.

How the two will be used remains to be seen, but in light of Jackson’s production it’s likely to be a 50-50 split.

Terrell Owens, Wide Receiver, Buffalo Bills. Zero completions, zero yards, and zero touchdowns. Goose eggs all around for T.O. ... or, as he perhaps should be called, T.0.0.0.

Changing on a dime - Fantasy Updates
1. Terrell Owens and Lee Evans are both under 100 yards on the season. At least Owens was targeted deep twice Sunday, even though he didn't have a catch. Evans is averaging 11.1 yards-per-catch, almost five yards below his career average. The Bills offense should get more vertical, but probably not enough for either wide receiver to live up to their draft value. Still, it's not a bad time to buy low if it's low enough.

Say what you will re: Trent's struggles, but if Lynch/Jackson outgain his air total on Sun, the Bills win (assuming the total isn't 15 yds).
