Two straight wins have driven the No. 1 overall pick in the 2011 NFL Draft out of the minds of Buffalo Bills fans, but give credit to Bills GM Buddy Nix: he's still doing his due diligence on the consensus top overall pick (if he declares), Stanford quarterback Andrew Luck.
ESPN's Adam Schefter reported Friday that Nix recently spent a day at Stanford University taking a look at the redshirt sophomore signal-caller. Unless we are very mistaken, NFL talent evaluators are not permitted to speak with collegiate coaches about underclassmen, nor are they permitted to speak with the underclassmen themselves. Nix likely scouted a Stanford senior or two, as well as junior fullback/linebacker Owen Marecic, but Luck's the guy to check out at Stanford right now.
If you still haven't seen Luck play... well, where the heck have you been? You'll get an opportunity to rectify that situation, or to add another game to your existing evaluation, when Luck and Stanford take on Oregon State at 7:30 PM this evening. That game will air on Versus.
Saturday's viewing schedule lies after the jump.
