Ryan Fitzpatrick Not Practicing For Third Straight Day

For a third straight day, Buffalo Bills quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is not practicing.

Fitzpatrick, who has started 13 straight games for the Bills, is being held back because of a knee issue. He was able to finish the team's Week 16 loss to New England, but having not practiced at all this week, there's a strong chance that Fitzpatrick will miss Buffalo's season finale.

Joe Buscaglia of WGR 550 tweets that Fitzpatrick is throwing to receivers on the side and doing some light jogging to test his knee, but that Brian Brohm will take first-team reps for the third straight day.

Should Brohm play this weekend, it'll be his second career start. He completed 17 of 29 passes for 146 yards with two interceptions in a Week 16 loss to Atlanta during the 2009 season. He has yet to appear in a game for the Bills this season.

Bills head coach Chan Gailey said earlier this week that if Fitzpatrick is healthy, he'll play Sunday. It appears, however, that health may prevent Fitzpatrick from finishing out his best season as a pro.
