No Owens, Denney, or Reed for 2010 -
"I’ve been fortunate to be here for eight years," said Denney. "Obviously they’ve got some young guys coming up through the organization with the intention to play them. It’s not my decision to make. I’ll be looking forward to see what the future holds. I’m excited to see what’s available and what my opportunities are and I’ll go from there."

"I look back on my career and I had my ups and downs, but I think I’ve been around long enough and I’ve done enough that if it’s not here that I could help some team in this league," said Reed in December. "I feel like I still have some years in me and can be productive."

Modrak on 2010 class - Inside the Bills
"I think it’s a good class, but as probably as many times as we’ve done this I feel that way and it’s certainly our job to make it that way," Modrak told "Without fabricating there are a lot of good big people in it and that’s what gets people’s attention."

NFL Scouting Combine
Clausen meets with Bills -

"NFL teams are allowed to conduct up to 60 personal interviews during the week long NFL combine in Indianapolis, and the Bills made sure to spend one of their 15-minute sitdowns with Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen."

Combine notebook : Mark Gaughan : Buffalo News
"I've met coach [Gailey] before," Clausen said. "He's a great guy. We were in there just talking, talking ball, having a lot of fun. I've met him before and it was good to see him again."

Top quarterback prospects grounded at scouting combine -
"The biggest news concerning the headliners at the position is that none is going to throw during workouts at the NFL Scouting Combine. Three won't because they're recovering from injuries (Oklahoma's Sam Bradford, shoulder; Notre Dame's Jimmy Clausen, toe; and Texas' Colt McCoy, shoulder). Another, Florida's Tim Tebow, is opting to show his reinvented throwing form at a later date. And still another, Central Michigan's Dan LeFevour, isn't throwing because he, too, is working on a new throwing style that he isn't quite ready to put on display."

Bruce Campbell's combine showing impressive, worthless - Mocking The Draft
"The Maryland left tackle put up some good numbers, but they don't mean much."

Russell Okung suffers groin injury, can't finish combine |
"Oklahoma State offensive tackle Russell Okung was off to an impressive start in the scouting combine, putting up the second-most reps in the 225-pound bench press, running the 40-yard dash in 5.17 seconds and generally looking like one of the draft's more athletic offensive lineman. But an injury stopped Okung from finishing the combine."

DT class deeper than normal -
Defensive tackles are difficult to come by. Nose tackles in a 3-4 defensive system are even more scarce. It’s largely why three other NFL clubs used the franchise tag on their prospective free agent run stuffers. The 2010 draft class however, offers a bounty of interior defenders the likes of which hasn’t been seen in some time.

Griffen talks to Bills - Inside the Bills
"USC DE Everson Griffen confirmed in his interview with the media at the NFL combine that he has met with the Bills.  Griffen, who measured in at 6′3″ 273 pounds, said he spoke with Bills outside linebackers coach Bob Sanders. He played defensive end at USC, so it’s interesting that Griffen spoke with Sanders, who’ll be coaching Buffalo’s outside linebackers."

Missouri LB Sean Weatherspoon confirmed to the NFL media at the combine that he has spoken to the Bills among other teams.

Report: Eagles to pay Vick's bonus |

"The thinking is, $1.5 million is worth it if the Eagles can get a mid-round draft choice in exchange for Vick.  Mosher indicates that Philadelphia is targeting a third- or fourth-round pick as compensation."

It’s about time for Smith, Kemp : Sports Letters : The Buffalo News
"It would be nice if the Buffalo Bills would similarly recognize the only quarterback who led them to two league championships, Jack Kemp. It may be a season too late, but the 2010 Bills should wear number 15 on their uniforms to honor Kemp. Better late than never. "
